Our Doctors
Dr. Scott Parr
Dr. Parr grew up here in Virginia Beach. After graduating from Cox High School and attending the University of Virginia he went to dental school at MCV in Richmond. Dr. Parr graduated with honors in several areas before returning home to Virginia Beach to open his own dental office in 1989. He has received extensive training in cosmetic and implant dentistry as well as sedation dentistry. Dr. Parr loves helping people have the smile they have always dreamed of having.
Dr. Parr and his wife Tracey have three wonderful boys: Taylor Justin and Brandon. As a family they enjoy skiing and snowboarding together and have spent years together with Dr. Parr coaching and Tracey as team mom on baseball and soccer fields and wrestling mats.
Dr. Parr is past president of the Eastern Virginia Make A Wish Foundation and is currently on the board of and past charter president of Toby’s Dream Foundation. His passion for helping people is integral in how we take care of our patients at The Smile Center.

Dr. Tara Frey
Dr. Frey is a native of Virginia Beach. Growing up in this area, she graduated from Cox High School and Old Dominion University before attending dental school at MCV. Dr. Frey graduated from MCV in 1999 with honors and joined Dr. Parr as an associate then became partner in 2004. She has pursued additional training in orthodontics and Invisalign treatment.
Dr. Frey married shortly after graduation to another Virginia Beach local, Joren, and they are proud parents of their daughter Abigail and 2 sons, Zachary and Joshua. Most weekends the Frey’s can be found at area swimming pools and soccer fields as their children are avid competitors. Dr. Frey has served on the board of Tide Swimming for the last 7 years working diligently to raise awareness for the importance of learning to swim, organizing the team’s meets and service hours, and also serves as Team Manager for her son’s competitive travel soccer team.

Dr. Taylor Parr
Dr. ‘Taylor’ Parr grew up here in Virginia Beach. And is the oldest son of Dr. Scott Parr our founding dentist. After graduating from First Colonial High School and attending the University of Virginia he went to dental school at MCV/VCU in Richmond. Dr. Taylor then did a 2-year residency in Los Angeles at the UCLA VA clinic where he focused on surgical and sedation procedures including cosmetic and implant techniques. Dr. Taylor enjoys learning the latest procedures to help our patients have the best results possible.
Dr. Taylor enjoys surfing and snowboarding. He has adopted two rescue kitties and is looking forward to a wonderful future in Virginia Beach serving our patients here at The Smile Center.

Sharetta Morrow,
Registered Dental Hygienist
Sharetta Morrow has been with The Smile Center the longest! She joined the practice in September of 1997 after graduating from Old Dominion University with her bachelor's of Science in Dental Hygiene. Sharetta returned to ODU in 1999 and received her Master's Degree in Dental Hygiene Education in 2004.
Rebecca Baker,
Registered Dental Hygienist
Rebecca joined our practice in June of 2006 when she graduated from dental hygiene school in Roanoke. She and her husband George have welcomed their twins Lorelai and Silas to their family in December 2011. She loves relaxing and hanging out with her friends and is always up for an adventure!
